Greg
Schwirtz — Weaving,
Stained Glass, Fused and Lamp Work Glass, Jewelry
Greg's
primary focus is weaving. He started weaving in the 1970’s after
visiting a weaving studio in the Midwest. A combination of the mechanics
and creativity of fiber interlacement opened this art form to him.
Color and texture combined with the feel of the yarns is what inspires
Greg to weave. He produces mostly scarves, shawls and ruanas using
rayon, cotton, wool, silk and other natural fiber. He has taught weaving
and been in numerous juried shows.
